FAQ

How does Drug Court work? Drug Court offers an alternative for non-violent offenders whose substance abuse problems have contributed to their charges. Participants receive treatments, and must comply with restrictions on their daily activities.

Who determines eligibility for Drug Court? A defendant can request consideration for Drug Court. The Prosecutor’s Office reviews defendants for eligibility.

How long is drug court?

It is 2 years.

How can I get a loved one in drug court?
Drug court is assigned by the prosecutor/courts.  The individual has to have been charged with an offense.

Am I subject to sanction if in drug court?
If you are available for drug court, you are subject to sanction.
