Public Defender

The Public Defender provides effective legal representation for those who cannot afford to hire a private attorney. The Public Defender’s Office protects the constitutional rights of indigent individuals. The Office can, in some cases, assist indigent people who have not yet been charged. The goal of the Public Defender’s Office is to seek the outcome most likely to lead to liberty for the innocent and rehabilitation of those who have committed crimes.
