Sebastian County Youth Prepardness Council
The Sabastian County Youth Preparedness Council is a hands-on training program for local teens who want to learn real emergency-response skills. Working alongside Fire, Police, EMS, and Search & Rescue professionals, members train in realistic scenarios , from fire suppression and search techniques to patient care and incident response.
Through the Council, youth can earn nationally recognized certifications, including C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team), CPR, and Stop the Bleed. High school students can also apply their training hours toward their community service requirement for graduation.
More than a certification program, the Council is about building confidence, teamwork, and resilience — giving young people the tools to protect themselves, their families, and their neighbors. Founded in 2026, the Council lives by its motto: Prepared. Ready. Resilient.
