Arkansans are reporting scam text messages regarding an “Arkansas Civil Traffic Notice” from the “Arkansas District Court.”

These messages may include professional-looking graphics, fake citation numbers, judge names, and threats of license suspension or penalties, while directing recipients to click a link to make a payment. Some also reference “Arkansas District Court Jurisdiction” without identifying an actual court or judicial district.

Arkansas court systems will never send unsolicited text messages demanding payment or directing you to click a link to resolve a citation.
